Ginger Restaurant is adjacent to The Beach Hotel right next to the entrance to the Boardwalk and across from Hobie Beach with adequate, safe and secure parking behind the hotel.
This elegant and chic restaurant can accommodate with indoor and deck seating, 120 diners and offers magnificent views from every corner of the restaurant taking in the beach front, ocean and beyond
Alterations and architecture have been in the professional and sensitive hands of Tony Rumesy. Well known interior designer Alison Van Zijl who has worked on many prestigious projects in the Eastern Cape is the mastermind in design and décor of Ginger.

The kitchen design is state of the art open plan which facilitates interaction between chef and diners. The menu design and development has been in the very capable hands of Janet Tellian, nationally acclaimed cook and restauranteur, renowned for Savoy Cabbage in Ct and Pomegranate in JHB. Janet’s own distinctive style demands that the finest ingredients, producing the best flavours, creates great food.
It’s a fresh take on traditional dining with wider appeal taking Port Elizabeth’s expectations of restaurant experience to new heights. It’s a fusion of elegance and contemporary fine dining.
Jacques Lombard, who will be managing the restaurant, is part of the upcoming third generation of the renowned Port Elizabeth family of Lombard hoteliers.
Jacques take on the new restaurant is to ultimately combine cocktails on the deck with a superb range of vintage wines for you to select to compliment and enhance the fine dining experience. He has a passion to bridge the generation gap by creating synergy between cocktailing and fine dining and Ginger is set to fulfil this perfectly.
